2. Ratatouille (2007) 

Ratatouille is a charming and deliciously inventive tale about following your dreams and embracing your passions, set against the backdrop of the Parisian culinary world. Its lovable characters and sumptuous animation stand out in Pixar’s filmography. It stands tall as the greatest film about artistic creation ever made by an American filmmaker.

3. Toy Story 2 (1999)

6. Turning Red (2022)

8. Up (2009) 

Boasting the accolade of being the first ever film presented at the Cannes Film Festival in RealD 3D, Up is a masterclass in animated filmmaking. The film’s emotional opening sequence, whimsical adventure narrative, and themes of love and loss resonate deeply among the empathetic animated catalog the studio has become known for. 9. Coco (2017)

15. Inside Out (2015)

16. Brave (2012)

18. A Bug’s Life (1998) 

A Bug’s Life is a charming, inventive film that follows a misfit ant named Flik as he rallies his fellow insects to save their colony from greedy grasshoppers. While it may not be as groundbreaking or emotionally resonant as some of Pixar’s other films, its colorful characters and engaging story—a soft remake of Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai—make it an enjoyable watch.

19. Onward (2020) 

Onward is a whimsical fantasy adventure that follows two elf brothers on a quest to reunite with their deceased father for one magical day. While it may not reach the emotional depths of some of Pixar’s other films, its imaginative world-building makes it a charming addition to the studio’s filmography.

20. Elemental (2023) 

Elemental may appeal to you if you’re a fan of Inside Out. Otherwise, this retread of Pixar’s familiar themes is best avoided.

21. Cars 2 (2011) 

Cars 2 is a visually stunning, if ultimately flawed, sequel that shifts the focus away from Lightning McQueen to his friend Mater as he becomes embroiled in a spy adventure. While it features exciting action sequences and impressive animation, its convoluted plot and tonal inconsistencies make it one of Pixar’s weaker efforts.

22. The Good Dinosaur (2015) 

The Good Dinosaur is a visually stunning but narratively underwhelming film that follows a young dinosaur named Arlo as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery in a prehistoric world. While it boasts breathtaking animation and a touching relationship between Arlo and his human companion, its derivative story leaves much to be desired. It is worth the price of admission for the scene in which Arlo and his human companion trip on berries.
